Job Highlights:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as a champion and subject matter expert to maximize the impact of medical informatics and data analytics to improve patient outcomes.

  • Collaborates with key decision makers, physician leaders, and clinical programs to identify and achieve a variety of clinical improvements and goals.

  • Interprets data, identifies trends, utilizes benchmark data, creates data visualization and applies data to clinical operations to optimize quality outcomes.

  • Develops and mentors a team of clinical analysts who collectively coordinate projects to support the needs of clinical teams with transparent governance process.

  • Works closely with technical and build team members ensuring availability of clinical information by standardizing data capture, clinical workflows, and documentation to support and drive quality improvement and revenue integrity initiatives.

  • Partners with customers, peers, external customers, and cross functional teams to discover needs and proactively offer options and solutions for ongoing and ad hoc analytic and reporting needs.

  • Utilizes a variety of data sources and query tools to gather data.

  • Ensures data integrity and data quality provided to all customers.

  • Develops and maintains dashboards and reports which include real-time and periodic reporting to all data customers.

  • Assists with the evaluation, analysis, and development of reporting and analytical tools presenting information to customers in clear, concise, and useful formats.

  • Supervises direct reports and indirect reports including data analysts and clinical outcome specialists as determined by the VP-Quality and Safety and executive leadership.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree

EXPERIENCE

  • Seven years' experience, with five years in leadership

Job Summary:

This is NOT a remote position. This position will be based out of our corporate offices in St. Louis, MO and would require relocation upon acceptance of the role.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

Leads a team that proactively provides intelligible data insights to guide improvement of clinical operations and patient outcomes. Leads a team that provides robust data reporting and presentation of data trends by applying deep technical knowledge and thorough understanding of clinical operations. Must be comfort with multiple data sources including Vizient, Clarity, PowerBI, payer claims, eCQM, and others as necessary. Highly collaborative and requires fluency in both clinical and technical languages serving a bridge between clinicians, clinical programs, information systems, revenue cycle management, and executive leadership to assure that organizational strategic goals are met. Evaluates, creates, and drives Electronic Medical Record (Epic) and clinical data opportunities focused on quality improvement and revenue integrity.
